In addition to the major projects listed below, Minette Consulting has been involved with a number of smaller projects. These projects have varied as, including mud pulse telemetry decoding, directional tool calibration and characterization, and even analysis of retail market data.

Dr. Minette has been recognized as an expert in the field of nuclear petrophysics, having been used as such by companies as varied as a major MWD company, a critical vendor for the oilfield service industry, and investment firms, all seeking a better understanding of both the technology and the market forces involved in oilfield logging.

Dr. Minette has developed a full support service for small and mid-sized MWD companies wishing to provide API gamma services to their customers.

Developed an updated and improved slim density response for a major MWD company

     Results: Customer has a superior slim tool response.

Provided design input for a new slim azimuthal density service and developed the standoff/mud response for a slim azimuthal density service:

     Result: The company was able to meet contractual agreements, providing improvements

Used MCNP modeling to determine the idealized response for an ultraslim (2 1/8) neutron tool:

     Result: The company was able to provide an ultraslim service that is very competitive with the service provided by

     standard size tools.

Provide characterization and software for a new wireline spectral gamma ray log. The characterization included both modeling work, and the analysis of API test pit data. Software responsibilities include development and testing real time test, calibration, and logging software.

     Results: Customer has a superior spectral gamma service.

Led a small team that developed a package of software and response charts that provides customers and field engineers with the response of a major wireline company's logging tools.

     Results: Customer has a competitive response package in less time and at a substantial lower cost than its competitors.

Provided characterization and calibration of new MWD natural gamma tools:

     Results: The company's first tools are the best-characterized natural gamma tool in the industry.

Modeled response, developed analysis techniques and embedded software for an innovate coal mining geosteering system.

        Results: Customer will have first commercially viable miner steering system.
